A clear scope. A useful report.
Every property is different. We discuss your building, access and goals before the inspection to establish the scope of work. The inspection focuses on visible and accessible components, with findings documented in a detailed, easy-to-read report.
If an area cannot be accessed or a condition calls for further evaluation, we identify that limitation so you can plan your next steps.
Start with your property
Tell us the property type, location, approximate size and your timing. Jonathan will follow up to discuss the inspection.
Request an inspectionBefore, during & after ownership
Make the inspection useful to your decision.
A buyer may need to understand a building before a due-diligence deadline. An owner may want a clearer starting point for maintenance discussions. A property manager may be organizing questions about several systems at once. Tell J&C what you need to decide, so the inspection conversation starts with the property and your goals.
Bring forward known concerns rather than saving them for the end. A history of leaks, a difficult-to-access mechanical room or a planned change of use can influence the questions that need attention. The inspection scope should be understood before the site visit, including which areas can be accessed and which questions require a different type of evaluation.
Turn observations into a practical next step
After reviewing the report, identify the findings that matter to your timeline. Some may call for a conversation with the property owner or manager. Others may need a contractor’s assessment, a repair quote or specialist investigation. A clear record of observed conditions helps make those conversations more focused.
Straight answers
Plan your commercial inspection
Have a question about your specific property?
Talk with J&CHow is the inspection scope established?
Start with the property type, building size, intended use, known concerns and your deadline. J&C discusses the visible systems and areas to be evaluated, access requirements and any additional needs before the inspection is scheduled.
Is an inspection a guarantee that a building has no defects?
No. An inspection records observed conditions within an agreed scope at the time of the visit. Hidden components, inaccessible areas and future conditions are outside what a visual inspection can establish.
Can I request an inspection for a mixed-use building?
Yes. Describe the combination of uses and the areas involved when contacting J&C. The proposal can then address access, the building systems and whether any specialized evaluation needs to be considered.
